Installation :
Download the Zip file and unzip into a folder. Disconnect the USB Modem. Run the setup and follow the instructions. Connect the when the installation asks you to connect.

Important This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

To enable display of a warning message, make the following changes in the registry:

1. Start Registry Editor (Regedit).
2. Locate the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE subtree, and then go to the following key:
   SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
3. Add or modify the following values:

      LegalNoticeText      REG_SZ      Dialog Message

   For example, the “LegalNoticeCaption” can be “Important Notice:” and the “LegalNoticeText” can be “No unauthorized access is allowed”.

The user sees this dialog box after the user presses CTRL+ALT+DEL and before the user sees the logon dialog box. The user can click OK in the message box and log on normally. Quit Registry Editor.

This could be due to a Malware / Virus which could have been disinfected by your antivirus but the modifications made to the registry will not be corrected.

To rectify the problem :

1. Open Regedit. (Start > Run > regedit)

2. Navigate to the “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\
Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL” pane on the left hand side.

3. In the right pane, right click on “CheckedValue” and select “Delete” to delete the value.

4. Now Right Click on the blank space on the right pane and select “New > DWORD”. Name the value to “CheckedValue“. Double click on “CheckedValue” and modify the “Value Data” to “1“.

Now the “Hidden Files and Folders” feature will work correctly.

PC was with a Core 2 Duo with Intel Motherboard DG31PR with onboard realtek audio.

Reinstalling Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver version 1.0a available for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000 – KB888111 or the realtek driver from the CD work.

The workaround was as :

• Edit the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
• Find the CSDVersion.
  It will be 100 (hex) for Service Pack 1
  It will be 200 (hex) for Service Pack 2
  It will be 300 (hex) for Service Pack 3
• Change the CSDVersion key from 300 to 200 and reboot the PC.
  Now the System Properties will show as Service Pack 2
• Install the Realtek Drivers from the CD
• If it fails install the kb888111 (Microsoft UAA Patch) from Microsoft. Then install the drivers. Test the Audio.
• Finally change the CSDVersion back to 300.
• Restart.

This is a small utility to set the default client in Windows XP. This can be changed for different email client for different user.

Steps to use SDFix

Extract SDFix to C:\

Go to Safe Mode

Logon as Local Administrator

Start RunThis.bat to start SDFix batch file.

Type Y to proceed On the SDFix startup screen.

SDFix will start scanning processes, services etc. Wait until SDFix has finished scanning the whole system.

SDFix will ask you to restart the PC.

After restart, logon as Local Administrator finish process. Once completed SDFix will display the report.

1. Open Outlook 2003.
2. Go to File > Data File Management.
3. Select “Personal Folders” and Click on “Open Folder” Button in the “Outlook Data Files” window.
4. This opens the Folder where your Outlook.pst is stored. Minimize this windows.
5. Close Outlook 2003.
6. Run E:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\SCANPST.EXE.
7. This opens the “Inbox Repair Tool”. Click the Browse button and point to the folder containing the Outlook.pst and select the file. Click Open.
8. Click Start to begin the Repair process.
9. If errors are found it is displayed. Ensure that the “Make backup of scanned file before repairing” check box is ticked and Click Ok to repair.
10. Start Outlook and you should now be able to view your mails.
