Flash Disinfector is a Flash Zip Drive, Pen Drive, Thumbdrive & Portable / Pocket Hard Disks Malware removing tool. It’s a neat and handy tool to handle all of the messes done by those pesky flash malwares.

What will Flash Disinfector Do
- Clean up junks created by flash malwares
- Deletes autorun.inf from every root folder
- Fix back damages done to your system
- Creates an autorun.inf folder in the root of your system drives
How To Use The Tool
Important : Disable any Antivirus / ScriptBlockers as they might detect Flash Disinfector to be malicious and block it. Hence, the failure in executing. You can enable them back after the cleaning process.
Removal Instructions :
Plugin All the USB Drive to your PC.
Double-click Flash_Disinfector.exe to run it. Follow any prompts that may appear.
Your desktop will vanish for a while, and then reappear. This is normal.
Wait until the program has finished scanning, then please exit the program.
Restart your computer and see if problem still persists.
Windows XP SP3 and Microsoft HD Audio UAA Problems

Audio in fully working PC with XP – SP2 stopped working after the automatic update of SP3.
PC was with a Core 2 Duo with Intel Motherboard DG31PR with onboard realtek audio.
Reinstalling Universal Audio Architecture (UAA) High Definition Audio class driver version 1.0a available for Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and Windows 2000 – KB888111 or the realtek driver from the CD work.
The workaround was as :
- Edit the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows
- Find the CSDVersion.
It will be 100 (hex) for Service Pack 1
It will be 200 (hex) for Service Pack 2
It will be 300 (hex) for Service Pack 3 - Change the CSDVersion key from 300 to 200 and reboot the PC.
Now the System Properties will show as Service Pack 2 - Install the Realtek Drivers from the CD
- If it fails install the kb888111 (Microsoft UAA Patch) from Microsoft. Then install the drivers. Test the Audio.
- Finally change the CSDVersion back to 300.
- Restart.

Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall/ICS service

“Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall/ICS service”
Clicking the “Advanced” tab on the Windows Firewall “Settings” button, the message : “Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service?” Clicking “Yes.” starts the firewall but after rebooting the PC the firewall is again disabled. This could be due to a corrupt winsock.
Resetting the Winsock by : Start -> Run -> netsh winsock reset. Click “OK”. Reboot the PC and the problem should be fixed.

Usage :
Download the software and install. Also download the updates and install.
Click on Scanner on the toolbar.
Click on the Settings tab.
Under How to act?
Click on Recommended Action and choose Quarantine from the popup menu.
Under How to scan?
All checkboxes should be ticked.
Under Possibly unwanted software:
All checkboxes should be ticked.
Under Reports:
Select Automatically generate report after every scan and uncheck Only if threats were found.
Under What to scan?
Select Scan every file.
Click on the Scan tab.
Click on Complete System Scan to start the scan process.
Let the program scan the machine.
When the scan has finished, follow the instructions below.
IMPORTANT : Don’t click on theSave Scan Reportbutton before you did hit theApply all Actionsbutton.
Make sure that
Set all elements to: shows Quarantine (1), if not click on the link and choose Quarantine from the popup menu. (2)
At the bottom of the window click on the Apply all Actions button. (3)
When done, click the Save Scan Report button. (4)
Click the Save Report as button.
Save the report to your Desktop.
Right-click the AVG Anti-Spyware Tray Icon and select Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.

Steps to use SDFix
Extract SDFix to C:\
Go to Safe Mode
Logon as Local Administrator
Start RunThis.bat to start SDFix batch file.
Type Y to proceed On the SDFix startup screen.
SDFix will start scanning processes, services etc. Wait until SDFix has finished scanning the whole system.
SDFix will ask you to restart the PC.
After restart, logon as Local Administrator finish process. Once completed SDFix will display the report.

Outlook 2000/2003 Inbox Repair Tool to recover corrupted folders.

In case Outlook is not closed properly and you are not able to view the contents of some of the folders like Inbox, run the Inbox repair tool.
- Open Outlook 2003.
- Go to File > Data File Management.
- Select “Personal Folders” and Click on “Open Folder” Button in the “Outlook Data Files” window.
- This opens the Folder where your Outlook.pst is stored. Minimize this windows.
- Close Outlook 2003.
- Run E:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033\SCANPST.EXE.
- This opens the “Inbox Repair Tool”. Click the Browse button and point to the folder containing the Outlook.pst and select the file. Click Open.
- Click Start to begin the Repair process.
- If errors are found it is displayed. Ensure that the “Make backup of scanned file before repairing” check box is ticked and Click Ok to repair.
- Start Outlook and you should now be able to view your mails.
