Dr.Web LiveCD is a free bootable anti-virus rescue CD based on anti-virus scanner software of Dr.Web®. This is handy when the computer is so infected that it becomes impossible to boot from the hard drive. 

Using the Dr.Web LiveCD we can clean / remove the infected files which prevents the computer from booting and make it bootable.

Using the Dr.Web Live CD

1. Download the Dr.Web Live CD. This is a Bootable CD ISO Image (minDrWebLiveCD-4.44.0.XXXXXXX.iso ).

2. Use your favourite CD Burning software to burn the image to CD.

3. Insert the Dr.Web Live CD. Make sure the First Boot Device is set to the CD / DVD Drive in the BIOS and boot from the CD.

4. Select Dr.Web Live CD from the menu to start the CD in the GUI Mode.

5. Click  on the update button to download the latest virus definitions updates. ( Can skip this if you have downloaded the image file very recently.)

6. Select all the drives and click the Start Button to start the cleaning process.

7.  Once the Scan is completed, select the infected files from the Scan results and click on Cure or Delete to disinfect / delete the infected files.
